Leo Roger Marshall, aged 87, of Grand Rapids formerly of Coopersville, went home to his Saviour with his family by his side on Sunday, April 15, 2012. Leo was born May 15, 1924 in Grandville, MI to William and Clara (Blake) Marshall and served in the US Army during WW II. He was a member of St Michaelé�a�a��s Catholic Church in Coopersville, VFW Post 5598 Coopersville Post and retired from the Story and Clark piano factory in Grand Haven. Leo is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lucille (Anderson) Marshall; children, Michael (Maryleah) Marshall, Mary (Gary) Crain, Patrick (LaVonne) Marshall, Jeffrey (Ruth) Marshall, Susan (Cressel) Smith, Tina (Greg) Nickel; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Cliff and Leon Marshall; sisters, Goldie Williams and Mable Lampen; brother-in-law, Vern Anderson; sisters-in-law, Bert Elliott, Teresa (Bob) Smith, Marlyn Anderson, Joanne Anderson and Joan Anderson; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 11:00 am at St Michaelé�a�a��s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville. Burial in St Michaelé�a�a��s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday 5 to 7pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville with a Rosary Service at 5pm and also Tuesday 9:30 to 11am at church.
