Larry Hazewinkel

Larry “Haze” Hazewinkel, age 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 15, 2022. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Floyd and Lois Hazewinkel. Larry loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, playing golf, fishing, hunting, camping and shooting billiards. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 26 years Candace Hazewinkel; mother Lois Hazewinkel; children, John Hazewinkel (Jean Laxton), Julie (Tom) Cronkright; step children, Matthew (Jill) Clelland, Amanda Tieman (Larry Elyea); grandchildren, Brady and Brooks Cronkright, Alyssa and Ashlee Clelland, Jet, Mckae and Milo Tieman, and Aeyle Elyea; siblings, Sue (Terry) Edgerly, Rick (Ellen) Hazewinkel, Ted Tafelski, brothers-in-law Ric (Jojo) Heft, Gary (Sue) Heft, Tadd (Kirstin) Heft and Herb (Cathy) Heft, several nieces, nephews and dear friends including Steve Saagman and Kevin Povenz. He was preceded in death by his father Floyd John Hazewinkel, sister Diane VanderMolen, brother-in-law Jud Heft, sister-in-law Cynthia Heft and dear friend David Vanbronkhorst.
In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Sunday July 24, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cronkright family home, located at 55 Riverchase Drive NE, Rockford, MI 49341.  Light lunch and refreshments provided.
