Kurt R. Barritt, age 55, of Conklin, MI., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He worked at GM beginning his career at the Coopersville Delphi plant, transferred to the 36th Street plant and ended his career at the Marion IN plant, retiring after 30 years of service. Kurt enjoyed spending time at his home on Crockery Lake with his family and grandchildren and traveling in his Blue Bird motorhome with his Blue Bird friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Max and Dorothy (Perry) Barritt and infant siblings. Kurt is survived by his wife, Sally; children, Stacy (Thad) Anderson, Marcy (Adam) Schaller, Ashley (Curtis) Cross and Megan Barritt; grandchildren, Aubrey Anderson, Kacey, Lauren and Hannah Schaller and Grayson and Hayden Cross; sisters, Paula (Rob) Kipker, Maryjo (Brian) Lowing and Christina Barritt; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 15164 Juniper St, Marne, MI. 49435 with Fr. Ayub Nasar officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery at Coopersville. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and Saturday one hour prior to the service at Church.
