Kevin Parney

Kevin Mathews Parney, age 57, of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI., to the late Carl and Diane (Newberg) Parney. Kevin lived in the Marne – Coopersville area while growing up and attended Coopersville Schools. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed his pets, hunting, camping, cookouts where he made sure everyone was always well fed and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. Kevin is survived by his 3 daughters, Angela Parney, Leianna Parney and Nickola (Joshua) Boone; son, Corey Parks; sister, Toni Malek; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christian, Jaden, Peyton, Makenzie and Kaden; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Kevin was also preceded in death by his sister Sandra Parney and brother-in-law Richard Malek. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St., Coopersville 49404 with Pastor Tom Datema officiating. Interment will be in the Marne Cemetery. Relatives and Friends may meet the family Saturday from 10 – 11 am one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
