Kenneth Busman

Kenneth Busman, age 88, of Coopersville was called home to his Lord and Saviour Thursday evening June 19, 2024 with family at his side. Ken was born in Polkton Twp. MI to the late Ambrose and Abbie (DeKlein) Busman. He attended Coopersville High School, served in the U.S. Army and worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. (DTE Energy) for 37 yrs until his retirement. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, wintering in Florida for many years, was a John Deere Tractor guy and Coffee with the guys at the Delly Belly Bakery. 

 He will be deeply missed by his wife, Marlene (Borgman) Busman; daughter Sheryl (Guy) VanderWagen; two sons, Terry Busman and Philip Busman; 8 grandchildren, Abby (Michael) Black, Emily VanderWagen, Heather (Andy) Anderson, Amanda (Joe) Lynch, Mark (Courtney) Busman, Bradley (Kelsey) Busman, Jessica (Brian) Schollaert and William Busman; 17 great grandchildren; sister Karen Grootenhuis; brother Wes (Bonnie) Busman; many nieces and nephews.

 In addition to his parents Ken was preceded in death by his grandson Daniel Jacob Busman, sister and brother-in-law Donna and Harvey Bennink and brother-in-law Bob Grootenhuis.

 Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Coopersville Christian Reformed Church, 200 Henry St, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Sandra Nikkel of Conklin Ref. Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery.

 Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville MI 49404 and Tuesday 10-11 A.M. one hour prior to the service at Church.
