Katherine Schippers

Schippers Mrs Katherine May Schippers aged 90, of Coopersville was called home to her Lord Friday Oct 29, 2010. After singing with the OK Choir for 25 yrs she now sings with the Heavenly Choir. She was born Oct 1, 1920 to Adrian and Nellie (DePender) Eding. She married Henry P Schippers Oct 4, 1940 at Eastmanville Christian Reformed Church thereé�a�a��s was the first wedding held in the Church. She retired from Leigh Products in Coopersville after 23 é�½ years. She also volunteered at Love Inc. over 18yrs on Thursdays. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Henry P. Schippers in 1989. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, James (Jane) Schippers of Fruitport, Gerald (Sharon) Schippers of Grand Rapids, Ronald (Lois) Schippers of Coopersville, Janice (Philip) Shafer of Wilmington NC.; 11 grandchildren, Faith Peirce, Lisa Wells, Kimberly Hilton, Ronnie VandenHorse, Timothy, Derk, Steven, and Seth Schippers, Jarrett, Jonethan, and Philip Jr. Schafer.; 20 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Schippers; special friends, Donna Tibbe, Ann VanRyswyk, Rose Goosen; aunt Mary DePender; cousins and many friends. Funeral Services Tuesday 11:00 am at the Eastmanville United Reformed Church. Burial in Coopersville Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
