Karen Wyant

Karen Sue Wyant, age 67, of Ravenna, MI., was called home to her Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 1, 2019 at her home with family by her side. Karen was born in Grant, MI to the late Edward Jr. and Bernice (Hawkins) Hallberg. She was a longtime member of First Reformed Church of Ravenna and was very active in their ministries especially God’s Closet. She had a deep faith in her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and was willing to help others in any way she could. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, crocheting, spending time outdoors, trips to the casino and cooking for family and friends who always looked forward to her meals and her homemade rolls. She is survived by her husband of 45 yrs. Charles “Charlie” Wyant; children, Nathan (Julie) Wyant, Carrie Wyant, and Justin (Dana) Wyant; grandchildren, Oakley Wyant and Jacoby Wyant; sisters, Velma (Kenneth) Patterson and Brenda Eadie; sister-in-law, Debbie Hallberg; brother-in-law, Gordon (Cindy) Wyant; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Karen was also preceded in death by her brother Jerry Hallberg.  In keeping with her wish cremations has taken place. A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019  at First Reformed Church-Ravenna, 3327 Mortimer St, Ravenna, MI 49451with Rev Steve VanderWoude and Rev. Don VanSlyke officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family 10 – 11 A.M. one hour prior to the service Saturday at Church.
