Judith é�a�A"Judyé�a�� Jewell, age 72, was called home to her Lord Saturday evening September 14, 2013 with family at her side. Judy was a lifelong resident of Coopersville and graduated from Coopersville High School. Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with family, friends and a special group of ladies that enjoyed horseback riding together known as the é�a�A"Happy Hoofersé�a��. She was preceded in death by her parents Seymore and Mamie (Mulder) Ruster and brother Kenneth Ruster. Judy is survived by her husband of 53 years Roger; three children, Jill and Jerry VanHouten; sons Robert Jewell and special friend Meri-beth Brouwer and Philip Jewell; two grandchildren Nathan VanHouten and Ashley VanHouten; brother Milton and Joyce Ruster; sister-in-law Evelyn Ruster; brother-in-law Verlin and Barb Jewell and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Lamont Community Church, 14000 48th Ave, Coopersville with Rev Rodney Thole officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery at Lamont. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. Memorial donations may be made to Lamont Community Church or Hospice of Holland.
