John Steenstra

John Steenstra, age 83, left this earthly life on Monday, June 29, 2020 to live forever with his Lord and Saviour after a short battle with cancer. He leaves behind the love of his life his soul mate and wife of 61 years, Hilda Steenstra. Together they were blessed with five children, Alice (Dave) Brinkert, Rick (Deb) Steenstra, Eric (Amy) Steenstra, Audrey VanDoorn and Tricia Hanenburg. He was also blessed with 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his son-in-law Ken VanDoorn and infant triplet grandsons, Jacob, Joseph and Adam Brinkert. The funeral celebration service of his life will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Coopersville Christian Reformed Church, 200 Henry St, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Lloyd Hemstreet officiating. Burial will take place in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5 – 8 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI.
