BYRNE - Bob é�a�A"Chappieé�a�� Byrne Sr., aged 87, of Coopersville was called home to Heaven on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was past Commander of the Marne American Legion Post #376, member of the Coopersville VFW Post #5598 and member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his children, Denise, Daniel, Mary Beth and Vicky; brother, James, sister and brother-in-law, Maggie and Harold McCarthy and brothers-in-law, Robert Miner and Bill Oziemkiewicz. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary; children, John (Lynne) Byrne, Jr., James (Karen) Byrne, Dennis (Ginny) Byrne, Debra Gilson and Shelly (Robert) Huisken; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Miner; sister-in-law, Betty Oziemkiewicz and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 4, 2013, 11am at St. Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Church, 15164 Juniper, Marne, Fr. Dave Gross, celebrant. Burial St. Maryé�a�a��s Cemetery, Marne. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday 5 to 8pm with the Rosary at 8pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St., Coopersville and one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.
