Jennifer Wilkes Hancock

Jennifer Wilkes Hancock, age 47, of Marne, passed away Saturday October 14, 2023. Jennifer was born in Grand Rapids, MI and was a graduate of  Northview High School.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Greg Hancock; daughter Charley Hancock; mother, Beverley (Tim) Kolkman; father, Stuart (Karen) Wilkes; sisters, Britton (Brian) Kunter and Angela (Tyler) Whidden; brother, Zachary (Rachel) Kolkman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raymond Gron, Dana (Monica) Gron, Larry Gron and Carla Blankenship; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jennifer was full of love for many things: doting on her daughter Charley, caring for a multitude of animals throughout life, birdwatching, and back rubs. Jenny was also full of laughter and brought her fun-loving energy to others. She was courageous when she reached the end of her life after an exhausting battle with chronic illness. As an organ donor she was able to give tissue that could help up to 175 other people, something her generous heart would be very proud of. 

Jenny has been cremated, in keeping with her wishes. Relatives and friends may meet the family 1 to 5 P.M. Sunday, Oct 22, 2023 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404. 
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 23, 2023 at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. There will be more celebration following from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Casino Club of Grand Rapids, 3260 Salerno Dr NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
