Jennie Burgess

Jennie M. Burgess, age 41, of Coopersville, peacefully went to Heaven, Monday, May 8, 2017. Jennie's love of children lead her to earn her Teaching Degree and she currently was working at Coopersville Public Schools as a Reading Specialist. She enjoyed time with her children and sharing in the many activities they were involved in and spending time with family and friends. Jennie was also very active at Edgewood Lutheran Church in Fruitport where she was a member as well as active in Gilda's Club in Grand Rapids. She was always upbeat, positive and full of life and will be deeply missed by her husband, Mark Burgess; children, Anna, Elizabeth and Benjamin; parents, Robert and Barbara Anderson; sister, Maribeth and Andy Bangert and niece and nephew Cora and Gabe; father and mother-in-law, David and Mary June Burgess; sister-in-law Joynel Burgess and nephew Jonathan Luster; brother-in-law, Philip and Suzie Burgess; grandmother, Elizabeth Burgess; several aunts, uncles and cousins. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Service will be held Friday 4 PM at Church of The Saviour, 180 N. 68th Ave, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev Sean Barrett officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville.
