Jeanette Meindertsma

Jeanette Meindertsma, age 99, of Coopersville, was called home to her Lord Monday, September 23, 2019. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI, January 23, 1920 to the late Andrew and Hazel (Fisher) Scott. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1989 and siblings, Alice, Jennie, Libby, Hazel, John, Wesley and Andrew. Jeanette loved her flowers and was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed canning, baking, was known for her pies, worked for Heath Manufacturing and was an active member at Coopersville Reformed Church. She is survived by her children, Carolyn (John) DeKorte, Mary (Gerald) Knoper, Julie Butler, Dale (Sherri) Meindertsma and Joy (Grant) Getz; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Koning and Kay Karp; sister in law, Mildred Visser and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Coopersville Reformed Church, with Rev. Arnold VanBeek officiating. Burial in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation 6 – 8 PM Friday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404.
