May 16, 1919 — June 20, 2006

VanOeffelen Mrs Jean L. VanOeffelen aged 91, of Muskegon was called home to her Lord Tuesday July 13, 2010. She was born May 16 1919 to John and Gracie (Dean) Lyons in Harlan IA. Jean worked and retired from Muskegon Piston Ring. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, cooking, sewing, working in her flower gardens when she was able and traveling and spending time up north at the family cottage where she enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald on June 20, 2006. Jean is survived by her children Mary (Andy) Gayhart of OH, Gerry (Karen) VanOeffelen of Muskegon, and Carol (Gene) White of Spring Lake; nine grandchildren Gloria Gayhart, Andrew Gayhart and Amanda Vangundy, Timothy Gayhart, Jenine and Adam Kent, Jennifer VanOeffelen, Joy VanOeffelen, Jacob VanOeffelen, Carley VanOeffelen and Guy White; and three great grandchildren Alec Kent, Whyatt Daniel Gayhart and Lilyanne Jean Gayhart. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 2:00 pm at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2044 Gooding, Conklin MI 49403 with Fr. Phil Sliwinski Celebrant. The family will meet relatives and friends Friday at the Church one hour prior to the Funeral Mass. Burial at St Francis Xavier Cemetery.
