Jean Lieffers

Jean Marie Lieffers, age 78, of Coopersville was called home to her Lord and Saviour Jesus on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Jean was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Henry and Madeline (DeVos) Smoes. She was a graduate of Coopersville High School, Class of 1960 and worked at Jennies Bridal and Floral in Allendale for many years. Jean had a deep faith in God, was a member of Georgetown Bible Church and loved to spend time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 59 years, Calvin Lieffers; children, Linda Bowen and David Bowen, Ken (Lisa) Lieffers, Diane (John) Carter; grandchildren, Matthew Lieffers, Melissa (Jonathan) Lieffers-Hall, Emily Lieffers, Nicholas Lieffers, Mitchell Carter and Blake Carter; brothers-in-law, Joe Fisher and Paul Lieffers; sister-in-law, Grace (Norm) Ritzema. In addition to her parents Jean was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kayla Jean Bowen, sister, Marilyn Fisher and niece Pamela Rubel; In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at church. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Georgetown Bible Church, 4114 Baldwin St, Hudsonville, MI 49426 with Pastor Steve Harlos officiating.
