Janet (Umlor) Felker

Janet Marie (Schoenborn) (Umlor) Felker, age 85, of Coopersville, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at St Ann’s Home in Grand Rapids. She was born in Chester Twp. to Gerald and Mary Ellis Schoenborn. Janet loved her family and nothing made her happier then when she had everyone gathered around her table enjoying a meal she had prepared. She enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, the Coopersville OK Group and traveling. In addition to her parents Janet was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Umlor and Forrest “Bud” Felker, son-in-law, Gary Williams, grandson, James Williams, brother-in-law, Norman Felker and sister-in-law, Pat Werkema. She is survived by her daughters, Annie Williams and Cathy (Herb) Heft; 5 grandchildren, Kelly (Karl) Alber, Gary (Hatice) Williams, Randy Williams, Emily (Shayn) Holtvluwer and Kurt Heft; 2 great grandchildren, Sienna and Wesley Holtvluwer; 6 step children, Juanita (Dale) Raterink, Ted (Beth) Felker, Colleen Felker, Betty (Rick) DeVinney, Nancy (Tom) Wierenga and Julie Hielkema; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Barb) Schoenborn and Stan (Liz) Schoenborn; sister, Marianne (Leonard “Len”) Armock; 2 sisters-in-law, Sandy Rone and Beverly Felker; brother-in-law, Harry Werkema and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, Jan 10, 2023 at County Line Community Church, 10326 Wilson St, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Pastor Tom Lutke officiating. Burial will be at St Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, 17150 88th Ave. Coopersville, MI, 49404. Visitation will be held Monday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404.
