Janet L. Hillman, age 85, of Conklin, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021. Janet was born at home in Alpine Twp. to the late George and Leta (Reister) Kober. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Hillman and daughter Joy Hillman. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, was a 4-H leader for 32 years and started the Grand River 4-H Club, worked as a floral designer for many years. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she attended grade school, got baptized, was confirmed and also got married. The family would like to give special thanks to Marleen Homik and her dog Bambi for her care given to Janet and also Heartland Hospice. Janet will be deeply missed by her daughter Jill (Charlie) Armock; grandchildren, Christopher (Robin) Liszewski, Tyler Armock, and Jessica Armock; great grandchildren, Emma, Logan, and Chase Liszewski; siblings, Gerald (Karen) Kober, Ellis (Jeanne) Kober, Joyce (Richard) Norton, and Georgia (Dennis) Ojard; brother-in-law, Ken Hillman; sister-in-law, Jeanette Eisen and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 22, 2021 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1379 Harding St, Conklin, MI 49403 with Rev. Dennis Lassanske officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation at Trinity Lutheran Church Family Life Center in Conklin Monday, June 21, 2021 from 5-8 pm and also Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral at church.
