James Edward Knott

James Edward Knott, of Allendale, was called home to his Lord and Saviour Tuesday, September 12, 2023. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Henry and Anna (Walma) Knott. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Olsen. James worked for Meijer for 44 years before his retirement, he enjoyed bowling, playing golf and watching sports and game shows. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Judy Zemaitis, Barb Knott, Kevin (Dolina) Knott, Laura (Scott) VanderMate and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 18, 2023 at Lamont Christian Reformed Church, 4745 Leonard St, Coopersville, MI 49404, with Rev. Terry Slachter officiating. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery.
