James "Jim" Bruce Ryan

James Bruce “Jim” Ryan, age 80, of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday morning June 6, 2023. Jim was born in Marne, MI., to the late Clyle and Irene (Glanville) Ryan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Sue Ryan. He enjoyed spoiling and spending time with his grandchildren, walleye fishing, wintering in Florida, golfing, and traveling the country in their travel trailer, making sure to touch all states. He was a true, faithful family man, and he was always well liked by everyone he knew. Jim will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 yrs., Judith "Judy" (Looman) Ryan; children, Jeff (Donna) Ryan, Carri Ryan (Matt Pozsik) and Tina (Chase) Ryan; 8 grandchildren, Erin, Emma, Nathan, Ainsley, Easton, Cade, Jax and Tristan; sister Karen (Dick) Spencer; brothers, Tom (Barb) Ryan and John Ryan; several nieces and nephews. The family invites everyone to join them for a Celebration of Life Service on Friday June 9, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M.at Faith United Methodist Church, 2600 7th St. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
