James Richard Dyke

James Richard Dyke, age 83, of Spring Lake, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. He was born in Eastmanville, MI to the late John and Jeanetta (Bennink) Dyke. Jim enjoyed watching sports and cheering on his favorite Detroit Red Wings hockey team. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards, hunting, fishing and cooking. He will be deeply missed by his beloved partner, Donna Vargo; children, Laura (Jon) Montcastle, Diane (Brian) Woidan, Steven (Missy) Dyke, Janell (Kevin) Mitchell; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Mel (Shirley) Dyke, Joe (Sue) Dyke; sister, Elaine VonAlmen and several nieces and nephews. a funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Jessica Walker officiating. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Throop Funeral Home.
