James Denson

James Denson, age 79, of Coopersville was called home to his Lord on Sunday, August 30, 2020. James was born in Detroit, MI to the late Obbie and Gladys Denson. He was a member of the Coopersville United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Janet on May 15, 2020, siblings Arnold, Betty, Margaret, Letha and sister-in-law Linda. James is survived by his children, James Denson II, Tammy (Dan) Hughes, Lori (Bill) Swatsworth, Lee (Chris) Childress, Leslie (Mark) VanderLinde and Joseph (Roxanne) Denson; grandchildren, Valerie (Bill), James III (Amy), Jocelyn, Gabrielle (Al), Robert, Alisha, Ellie, Maggie, Nicole (Erik), Sarah (Tony), Stacy (Cj), Eric (Nikki), Jacob (Kristen) Andrea (James) Cody, Jesse (Marcie), Kayla (Ryan) and Matthew; 33 great grandchildren; brother, Jay (Judy) Denson; brothers-in-law, Don (April) Tubbs Jr., Cliff (Deb) Tubbs, Sid (Linda) Tubbs, Ron (Mary) Tubbs, Rick (Marcia) Hartman, Carl (Jan) Hartman; sisters-in-law,  Deb Castenholz and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Rosedale Memorial Park, 50 Lake Michigan Dr., Grand Rapids, MI 49544 (Standale) with visitation from 11:00 to 12 noon prior to the service at the cemetery.
