Iris L. Ryder, aged 92, of Coopersville, passed to her heavenly home Saturday evening August 30, 2014 in Muskegon, surrounded by her loving family. She resided at The Depot in Coopersville and loved her home and the residents she became friends with. Iris was born April 7, 1922 to Peter and Flora (Clark) Seba. In Dec of 1940 she married Orville J. Ryder and they resided in rural Ravenna. She was a longtime member of County Line Church and retired from Leigh Products Cafeteria in Coopersville. She was a very talented lady, a great cook and her knitting and crocheting will be lasting treasures. Iris is survived by her six children, Carol (Richard) Dodge of Spring Lake, Ronald (Bonnie) Ryder of Coopersville, Thomas (Terry) Ryder of Muskegon, Susan (Daniel) Dykstra of Comstock Park, Doreen Colpetzer of Muskegon and Laurie (Dan) Noel of Coopersville; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Tressa Rayner and Elaine Ryder and many nieces, nephews and friends. Iris was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Orville J. Ryder who passed away in 1983, son-in-law David Colpetzer, grandson David Avink, great grandchildren, Zackary and Isabella Summerfield, Dakota Noel, Travis Ryke and great great grandson Matthew Orcasitis Jr. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday Sept 4th at County Line Community Church, 10326 Wilson St. Coopersville, MI 49404, Rev Jeff Lash officiating with burial in Nunica Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family 6 to 9 pm Wednesday, Sept 3rd at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville.
