Ida Wallinga

WALLINGA - Mrs. Ida Wallinga, aged 94, of Coopersville, was called home to her Lord Friday, January 4, 2013. She was born January 27, 1918 to Jacob and Christine (Schmidt) Metten. Ida was preceded in death by her husband Peter Wallinga and her son, Donald. Surviving are her children, Beverly (Herman) Smoes, Jan (Carroll) Snyder, David (Pauline) Wallinga, Carol (Ron) Riemersma; 15 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret (Pete) Schaaphok, Ruth (Claude) McNitt; one sister-in-law, Joyce Metten and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11am at the Coopersville Reformed Church, Rev. Stephen Mowat, Rev. Greg Stamm and Rev. Arnold VanBeek officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation hours will be Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
