Helen Thorpe

Helen L. Thorpe, age 95, went peacefully to be with her heavenly father on October 12, 2021. She was born in Coopersville, MI to the late Anthony and Ada (Belville) Thomas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband’s Jacob Bouwkamp, Lee Waldie and Bill Thorpe, twin infant sons, son Dale Bouwkamp, 7 sisters, 1 brother and son-in-law Donald Michael. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Linda Michael; daughter-in-law, Debbie Bouwkamp; special son-in-law, David Speet; step son Tim Thorpe; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and 1 more on the way. The family would like to give a special thanks to Spectrum Hospice and Fountain View of Coopersville, Sandy Happeny for doing Helens hair for over 30 years and a big thanks to Carolyn Dorsey for her care she gave to Helen. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. Burial will take place in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Life celebration service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the United Methodist Church, 105 68th Ave N, Coopersville, MI 49404. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 AM at church.
