Helen Noordyk

Helen Noordyk, age 90, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Lamont, was called home by her Lord Tuesday, Sep. 12, 2017. Helen was preceded in death by her husband William D. Noordyk on Jan. 22, 2004. Mrs Noordyk along with her husband operated Noordyk Business Equipment until 1988 when her son, William A. Noordyk took over. She was a member of the Lamont Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren, grandchildren, family and friends. She is survived by her children, Helen (Thomas) Meyaard and William A. (Robyn) Noordyk; grandchildren, Benjamin (Amy) Meyaard, Jillian (Jim) King, Cara (Justin) Hendges and William J. "Will" Noordyk; great grandchildren, Bryn, Shay, Liam, Aiden, Elizabeth, Evan and a new soon to arrive great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, Sep. 18, 2017 at Lamont Christian Reformed Church, 4745 Leonard St, Coopersville, MI. with Rev Terry Slachter officiating. Burial Maplewood Cemetery, Lamont. Relatives and friends may meet the family 2 - 5 P.M. Sunday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and at Church Monday one hour prior to the service.
