Helen King

Helen S. King, age 88, of Marne, passed away Tuesday May 20, 2014 with family at her side. Helen was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late John and Louise (Hojnacki) Oziemkiewicz. She graduated from Marne Schools and has been a lifelong resident of the Marne area all of her life. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Stanley King who passed away June 28, 2002. She is survived by her three sons, Paul (Jane) King, Michael (Delia) King and David King; three grandsons, Andrew, Thomas and Matthew; brother John (Jean) Oziemkiewicz; sister-in-law Betty Oziemkiewicz; brother-in-law, Jack Grotenrath; sister-in-law Sophie Karopczyk and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Helen was also preceded in death by her brother Bill Oziemkiewicz; sister Julie Grotenrath and sister and brother-in-law Mary and Ferris Hambleton. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Friday 11 am at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville with Fr. Dave Gross celebrant. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
