Hattie Wiersma

Mrs Hattie Wiersma, aged 94, of Allendale passed away Tuesday Dec. 6, 2011. She was born Aug 15, 1917 to Gerrit and Alydia (Kats) VanderHyde who preceded her in death. Hattie was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman; children, Louise, Vivian, and Frank; grandson Benjamin; brothers John and Fred and sisters Joanne and Wilma. She is survived by her children, Willard (Lois) Wiersma, Claude (Joyce) Wiersma; daughter-in-law, Ann Wiersma DeWitt; son-in-law Bill Casey; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters Jeanette Martin, Cornelia Naderveld, Gertrude Vanderveen, Mary Ham; brother Garry VanderHyde and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 4 to 7 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville. A private family service will be held with burial in Rusk Cemetery.
