Hannah Adema

Hannah Jennette Adema, age 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Sept. 9, 2019.  Hannah was loved by so many for her kind and gentle spirit and beautiful smile.  She and Matt raised their children to know the importance of regular Sunday worship, faithful love, and compassion for the needy. She lived out her faith by demonstrating lifelong service and support for Christian ministries.  She loved nothing more than having her family around her, enjoying each other’s company. She had a quiet servant’s attitude, taught her children the value of a good day’s work and was always their cheerleader no matter what.  She is survived by her children Carl (Jackie) Adema, Ken (Sharon) Adema, Mart Adema, George (Pamela) Adema, Bev (Ray) Breen, Roger (Gretchen) Adema, Judy (Wayne) Peterman; grandchildren Seth (Laura) Adema, Nicole Adema, Joel (Melissa) Adema, Andrew (April) Adema, Matt (Kathy) Adema, Nate (Anna Marie) Adema, Aaron (Alison) Adema, Tom (Mindy) Adema, Emily (Santi) Palacios, Christianna Adema, Sarah (Jeff) DeYoung, Scott (Jennifer) Breen, Dean Adema, Jennifer Adema, Becky (Cody) Deen, Eliot Peterman, Anna Peterman, and Emma Peterman and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Matthew Adema and her second husband, Garrett Adema, two infant sons, Phillip John and Baby Adema, and a great grandson, Colten Dale Adema.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Lamont Community Church, 14000 48th Ave, Coopersville with Rev Rick LeFebre officiating. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery at Lamont. Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM Wednesday at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville and Thursday from 10 to 11 am at the Lamont Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lamont Community Church or West Side Christian School.
