Gerald Eberlein

Gerald Eberlein, age 68, of Marne, was called home to his Lord, Saturday, June 28, 2014. Gerald was born in Grand Rapids MI to the late Earl and Norva (Bryant) Eberlein. He worked in the tool and die trade, was very mechanical and could fix and repair anything. He enjoyed restoring old cars and boats, was an avid photographer and enjoyed traveling. He was a member of Grand Rapids 1st Church and was active for many years with prison ministry at the Muskegon Correctional Facility. Gerald loved to spend time with his family and friends, was known as a prankster and even thru his struggle with health issues his sense of humor and love of life never left him. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 48yrs Joan; son, Mark (Karen) Eberlein; daughter, Angel (Dan) Grit; seven grandchildren, Alex, Kristina, Danielle, Angela, Abby, Nicholas and Alexis; brother, Kenneth (Sara June) Eberlein; brother-in-law Jerry Kamerling; sister-in-law Noella Bradley; several nieces and nephews; many special friends whom he developed deep and lasting friendships with. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday July 3, 2014 at Grand Rapids First Church, 2100 44th St SW, Grand Rapids. Rev Larry French and Rev Tim Rider officiating. Burial at Blythefield Memory Gardens in Belmont. Visitation Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and Thursday one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial donations may be made to St. Maryé�a�a��s Foundation, Lacks Cancer Center, 200 Jefferson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
