George Godwin

George E. Godwin, aged 50, of Coopersville, was called home to his Lord on Thursday, January 31, 2019. He was born July 11, 1968 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Bobby Sr. and Daisy (Little) Godwin. George lost his sight many years ago but never let that stand in his way or slow him down from doing the things he enjoyed. He was a man of faith, had a unique sense of humor, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends and was a longtime member of Coopersville Reformed Church. George is survived by his daughter, Emily and her children, Serena and Ariah; daughter, Georgian Piro and her children; siblings Dot Watson, Bobby Godwin Jr. and Lynn, Cayce Hodgson; brother-in-law, Tim Klobnock; many nieces and nephews and his special companion Cooper his leader dog. In addition to his parents George was preceded in death by his son, Justin Godwin and sister, Barbara (Godwin) Klobnock. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday Feb 4, 2019 at the Coopersville Reformed Church, 423 W. Randall St, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev Greg Stamm officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family 10 to 11 A.M.
