Garrett J. Adema, age 91, of Coopersville, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015. Garrett is the former owner of Adema Generator Services in Coopersville. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, daughter, Marilyn and son-in-law, Larry, brothers, Matthew and Robert, sisters, Anna, Wynne and Rena. He is survived by his wife, Hannah; children, James (Birdie) Adema and Beth Adema; stepchildren, Carl (Jackie) Adema, Ken (Sharon) Adema, Martin Adema, George (Pam) Adema, Roger (Gretchen) Adema, Beverly (Ray) Breen, Judy (Wayne) Peterman; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Veeneman; brother, William (Lois) Adema; brother-in-law, Norm Nanninga; sister-in-law, Ruth Adema and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville with Rev. Rodney Thole officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday August 9, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
