Fred Weston

Fred Earl Weston, age 84, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020. He was born in Lake City, MI., to the late Floyd and Pearl (Donnelly) Weston. Fred was an active life-member of the Grand Rapids/Sparta Moose Lodge #50, enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outside in nature and was retired from Blodgett Hospital where he worked as a carpenter. In addition to his parents Fred was preceded in death by his wife Mary (O’Connor) Weston, brothers, Nathan Weston and Ivan Weston, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Rose O’Connor, brothers-in-law, Daniel O’Connor and Michael O’Connor. He is survived by his brother, Wilbur Weston; sister-in-law, Roseanne Lynch; brothers-in-law, John O’Connor and Patrick O’Connor; special niece, Kim (Duane) Knauf; special nephew, Sean (Cynthia) Smith and many additional nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 30, 2020 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 15164 Juniper St, Marne, MI 49435 with Fr Ayub Nasar Celebrant. Burial will take place in St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Marne. Visitation will be held Thursday 10 – 11 A.M. one hour prior to the service at Church.
