Floyd Jenkins Jr., age 84, of Dickson TN., formerly of Cedar Springs, MI., passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019. He was born in Philadelphia TN., to the late Floyd and Leona (Emery) Jenkins. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Peggy (Gerwig) Jenkins, son Floyd “Mike” Jenkins, son-in-law Bruce Kempainen and siblings Barbara, Ken, Frankie and Sam. Floyd served in the U.S. Marines during Korea. He was a good father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, camping, playing cards, bowling, wintering in Arizona and his John Deere tractor. Floyd is survived by his daughters, Rosa Kempainen and Teresa (Jim) Molyneux; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers Eddie (Elaine) Jenkins and Raymond (Diane) Jenkins; sisters-in-law, Ivolene Baldwin, Josie Timmer, Pauline (Larry) Wemple, Donna Calkins and Kathy Gerwig; brothers-in-law, Walt Gerwig, Bob (Sally) Gerwig, Jim (Karen) Gerwig and Ken (Joan) Gerwig; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404. Burial will take place in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery.
