Evan Schierbeek

Evan Michael Schierbeek, age 29, of Marne passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022. Evan was preceded in death by grandparents John & Grace Schierbeek and Glenn and Nelva Stroven. He is also greeted at his arrival into Heaven by his Uncle Randy Schierbeek and Aunt Mary Breen and cousins Chuck Breen, Ryan Broene, Jessica VanHeest, and Logan Gamez. “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” find out what’s on the inside. These are words Evan lived by. Evan was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2020 and faced his disease head on, until it took his life. He is survived by his mom and dad, Rex and Carmen (Stroven) Schierbeek; brother, Eli Schierbeek; sister, Madison Schierbeek and her fiancé, Scott Lyman; grandmother, Polly Stroven; aunts and uncles, Rick Breen, Larry and Sue (Stroven) Broene, Steve and Lennie (Stroven) Kawka, Stu and Micki (Koetje) Stroven and Larry and Nita (Schierbeek) VanSingel, Mary Schierbeek, Ken and Rhonda (Schierbeek) Nederhood, Bob and Lori (Schierbeek) Hemmes, Rocky and Cindy Schierbeek and Lisa Schierbeek-Hadden; many cousins, friends and coworkers that loved him so much and his cats Chungus and Simba, dogs Ben and Clyde. He was employed at Preferred Machine a company that cared about him very much. A Memorial Service will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Lamont Christian Reformed Church, 4745 Leonard St, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Janice Tock-Lancaster officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, September 23, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Lamont Christian Reformed Church and one hour prior to the service at church.
