Erma Louise Box, age 101, of Marne, MI., entered eternal life Saturday, April 2, 2016, one week away from her 102nd birthday. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Eggers, Yolanda é�a�A"Lonnieé�a�� Schneider, Marilyn (Erwin) Beemer, Deborah (Ed) Pawloski, and only son Bill (Mary) Box; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Erma lived in the Marne area for over 60 years, she was a lifelong Lutheran with a very strong faith and member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. She was a seamstress all her life and worked a majority of her time at Jacobsons. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, singing in the choir,the Detroit Tigers, and daily walking. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her eldest daughter Cynthia é�a�A"Candyé�a�� Carmody, parents William and Eleanor (Bernecker) Zuchowski, her sisters and brother. The family extends a thank you to the loving staff at Yorkshire and Stonebridge for providing quality of life care for Erma. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St,Coopersville and Saturday one hour prior to the funeral at church. Funeral Services will be Saturday April 9th 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 3950 Leonard St NW Grand Rapids, 49534 with Rev. Kenneth Bomberger officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City, MI. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church or Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
