Elizabeth Longcore

Betty Longcore, age 71, was called home to heaven Wednesday, January 30, 2013 after a very brief illness. She was born Jan 26, 1942 in Holton, MI to Louis and Margaret (Perna) Rupar who preceded her in death. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed surprising her family with fresh baked cookies and other goodies that just somehow found there way into the cupboard or on the kitchen table of her son or daughters homes. She enjoyed doing random acts of kindness for family and friends and was very active at St Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Church of Marne where she could always be counted on to lend a helping hand wherever needed. In keeping with her desire to help others in her lifetime she gave over 9 gallons of blood as a blood donor. She held many jobs in the local area and was retired from J&H Oil Company where she worked in there accounts payable department. Betty will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years Donald; her son, David and Janet Longcore; her daughter Annette Longcore; grandchildren, Doug, Dan (Shae) Chris and Joshua; 4 great grandchildren; sister Josephine Wallace; sister-in-law Leona (Tom) Isenhart and many nephews and nieces. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 1:00 pm at St Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Church, 15164 Juniper Dr, Marne, 49435. Fr Dave Gross celebrant. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, 49404. with Rosary Prayers Friday evening 6 pm at the funeral home.
