Towne, Mrs Eleanor Frances é�a�A"Ellieé�a�� Towne, aged 81, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday Nov. 26, 2009 at 12:10 AM. She was at her home surrounded by her family and loving husband Paul Andrew Towne of 63 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter Darleen Hazel Riplo. Eleanor is also survived by her children Juanita and Dan Childs, Vicki and Tracey Golden, Susan and Scott Travis Sr., Thomas and Helen Towne, Annette and Christopher Bilocca; son-in-law Fred and Connie Riplo; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren with two more on the way; sister Lillian and Donald Brondyke; brother Erwin and Mabel Paulsen; and several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was born August 4, 1928. She grew up in White Cloud MI. Until she married Paul Towne on Nov. 19, 1946. They made their first home in Muskegon MI. on Harvey St. In 1957 Paul and Ellie moved their family to 48th Ave in Coopersville MI. Eleanor was a farmer at heart and also a collector of é�a�A"unique treasurers.é�a�� Eleanor was a devoted Christian and member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Conklin for 51 years. Eleanor loved taking pictures and creating happy memories with them. She loved geneology and spent many years researching the family history. In 1991 she made a journey to England to see the church were Paulé�a�a��s ancestors were married, before they came to America. Ellie and Paul traveled after he retired. They visited all but one state in the United States. Funeral Services will be held Monday 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin. Rev Mark Oswald officiating. Burial in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conklin. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, Coopersville.
