Eleanor Elberta Nowak,

Age 84, of Rogers City, passed away with her Husband of 47 years and Son by her side, on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born in Harbor Springs, MI and was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon F and Della McFarland, late husband Jack “Chum” Wenz, along with numerous siblings.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family, Husband, Keith Nowak; Son Jack (Heidi) Wenz; daughters, Vickie Hoover, Sandy Grody, Sheila Blanchard; her surviving Brothers Less McFarland, Harry McFarland, Sisters Lorretta Barnes, Jane Quick, Maryetta Mousseau, Christine Speigl, Nola Archer, along with step children Victoria (Paul) Bur, Joanne (Rick) Hildenbrand, Brenda Nowak, Robert (Rhonda) Nowak, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws and lifelong friends.

By everyone fortunate enough to know her, she was a warm and gentle person who always put other people first. She loved crafting of all kinds and we always looked forward to the next great thing she was going make or want to try as her imagination was endless.

She enjoyed many years with her husband Keith in Orlando Fl, while working for the Walt Disney Dolphin Hotel. After retirement they moved back north to their current home in Rogers City to be closer to family.

You have been my guiding light for 60 years; the memories are endless.

 Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404. Burial will take place in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. The family would like to invite everyone to join with them after the burial for a luncheon at 327 Pizza and Pub, 327 Main St, Coopersville, MI 49404.
