Elaine Schoenborn

Elaine Ann (Veeneman) Schoenborn, age 63, of Conklin, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at home with family at her side. Elaine was preceded in death by her angel baby, Andrew James Schoenborn, father, Melvin Veeneman, brother, David Veeneman, brother-in-law, James Meerman and father-in-law, Leonard Schoenborn. She was a graduate of Hackley Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Edison Christian Health Center in Grand Rapids. Elaine was a woman of faith and a true caregiver, always putting others ahead of herself. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, working on crafts, kayaking, sharing special time with her grandchildren, and Sunday nights at Grandma’s. Elaine is survived by her husband of 42 years Herb Schoenborn; children, Lisa (Juan) Zuniga, Ryan (Kristen) Schoenborn, Carrie (Matthew) Andrews, and Kelsey (Munyovi) Okoba Schoenborn; grandchildren, Araceli, Aleczander, and Marisol Zuniga, Olivia, Benjamin, and Jacob Schoenborn, Kepler and soon to arrive baby, Caelhem Andrews; mother, Gertrude Veeneman; brothers, Leland (Brenda) Veeneman, Daniel (Susanne) Veeneman; sisters, Sheryl (Russell) Lillie, Diane Meerman; sister-in-law, Lorraine Veeneman; mother-in-law, Bertha Schoenborn; brothers-in-law, John (Ann) Schoenborn, Kenneth (Mary) Schoenborn, Mark (Carol) Schoenborn; sister-in-law, Rose (Marv) Lindberg; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, Sep 15, 2020 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave., Coopersville, MI, 49404 with Fr. Ayub Francis Nasar, celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery. The family will be at St. Michael’s Church in Coopersville on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm to receive relatives and friends.
