Edward Zylstra, age 80, of Coopersville, passed away June 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Edith (Heslinga) Zylstra, brother Henry Zylstra and sisters Geraldine Tuhacek and Sandra Kay Zylstra. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was Co-owner of Allendale Beef Co. and Kelleyé�a�a��s Korners. Edward will be lovingly missed by his wife of 56 years, Marlene (Masloski) his best friend and faithful caregiver. He was blessed with a loving family his children, Curtis (Brenda) Zylstra, Edward Zylstra Jr., Tim (Angie) Zylstra, Scott (Julie) Zylstra, Edee Kay Zylstra, and Jeanelle Zylstra, experienced the joys of 5 grandchildren, Jayme (Michael) Monroe, Joshua, Caleb and Noah Zylstra, and Michael (Betsy) Philpott; 5 great grandchildren, Taylor Monroe, Blake, Sydney, Mason and Austin Philpott. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 am Thursday at St Michaelé�a�a��s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, Fr Norm Droski Celebrant. Burial will be at St Michaelé�a�a��s Cemetery in Coopersville. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday at the Throop Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm with the rosary prayers at 8 pm, and one hour prior to the service at church.
