Edward Kelly

Edward F. Kelly, age 80, of Conklin, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 with family at his side. Ed was born in Conklin, MI., to the late Edward J. and Esme (D’oyly) Kelly. He was a graduate of Coopersville High School, attended Conklin Reformed Church and worked as a Barn Builder for R. J. Nauta Construction. Ed was a lifelong resident of Conklin, a member of the Conklin Fire Dept. for 60 yrs., and was active with Chester Twp. He served on the Twp. Board for 12 years and on the Twp. Zoning Board for 20 yrs. In addition to his parents Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Kady Kelly, sister, Janice Hoogstraat and brother Raymond Kelly. Ed is survived by his wife of 58 yrs., Marian (Devenport) Kelly; sons, Todd (Rissa) Kelly and Luke (Michell) Kelly; daughter, Helen (Alvin) Dietrich; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and brother Norrell Kelly. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place with burial in McNitt Cemetery. Memorial donations in Ed’s memory may be made to Chester Twp. Fire Dept., P.O. Box 33, Conklin, MI 49403.
