Mr Earl R. Busman, age 84, of Coopersville, was called home to his Lord Wednesday, April 23, 2014. He was born in Polkton Twp. to Jacob, Sr. and Minnie (Veeneman) Busman who preceded him in death. Earl was also preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Faber, three brothers and four sisters. Earl owned and operated a dairy farm in Polkton Twp. for many years until he retired to a home in Coopersville where he enjoyed maintaining a large flower and vegetable garden. He served Polkton Twp. as a Trustee and as the Twp. Clerk, was a lifelong member of Coopersville Reformed Church where he taught Sunday school for over 40 years and served as a Deacon and Elder. Earl was past President of the Ottawa Co. Farm Bureau, was active in the OK group in Coopersville and sang in the OK Choir for many years. Earl is survived by his wife, Norma and this Oct 22nd, they would have celebrated 62 years of marriage. He is also survived by his three sons, Edwin (Connie) Busman, Irwin (Kimberly S.) Busman and William (Kimberly K.) Busman; son-in-law, Dale Faber; 11 grandchildren, Tonya, Rebecca, Derrick, Lindsay, Sheena (Isaiah), Andrew, Stacey (Ryan), Laura, Jeremy, Nathan and Ryan; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Autumn and Ezekiel; brother, John Busman; sister, Francis Hovingh; sisters-in-law, Pokey (Roger) DeGraaf and Helene Busman; brother-in-law Dale Alberda and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 am at Coopersville Reformed Church with burial in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
