Earl Baehre

Earl G. Baehre, age 93, of Sparta, was called home to his Lord Monday, Nov 25, 2013. Earl was born Jan 4, 1920 to Reinhart and Emma Baehre and was a lifelong resident of Sparta, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosmary Dec 15, 2005. Earl was a devoted father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a strong faith in God and was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin. He was a lifelong fruit farmer and spent many days tending to the fields and orchards on his two Fruit Ridge area farms and also worked many years as a lab superintendent at Baker-Perkins a local food products company in Grand Rapids MI. Earl is survived by his children, Moneca Baehre and husband Greg Hohs of Ada, Eric and Lynn Baehre of Cincinnati, OH, and Christina Pigeon of Norman, OK; five grandchildren, Stephen, Kathryn, Madalyn, Ryan and Nicole; sister-in-law, Elsie Baehre and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, Nov 29th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin, with Rev Mark Oswald officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery in Conklin. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, Nov 28th, from 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and Friday one hour prior to the funeral service at church.
