Dorothy Veeneman

Dorothy Ann Veeneman, age 95, of Coopersville, was called home to her Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, great granddaughter Taylor Jo-Ann Szymas, brother Paul and wife Mary Streeting, “sister cousin” Ardean Bos, many brothers and sisters-in-law. Survivors include her son, Robert F (Barb) Veeneman; granddaughter, Laurie (Jon) Shellenbarger; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Jory Szymas; sister-in-law, Shirley Cunningham; special niece and nephew, Joan and John Pawloski and their children, many other caring nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. Dorothy loved her family, many friends, and special neighbors. She appreciated and enjoyed the kindness shown to her and visiting with them. She was a lifelong member of Coopersville Ref. Church where she started the education program for 2 year olds in 1950. She was often called upon by City Hall and the Historical Society for her knowledge of the early people and history of Coopersville. A special thank you to Pastor Arnold VanBeek for Visiting, administering communion, and his genuine compassion for Dorothy and her peers. A private service will be held at Coopersville Reformed Church for the immediate family and close friends, with Pastor Arnold VanBeek officiating with burial to take place in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp.
