Doris Howard

Doris Howard Sellon, age 92, of Avon Park, FL formerly of Coopersville, passed away on December 6, 2014 at her daughters home in Avon Park FL. She was born on July 21, 1922 at Branch, Michigan to Elzie Leo and Nellie Sellon. She was married to George Howard on July 25, 1940. She is survived by two children, a daughter, Virginia Howard Stunkard and a son, Richard Howard, Sr., one brother, Earl Sellon from NY. Through the years their family has grown to seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband George Howard, six sisters and two brothers. She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist church. She worked in all of the Children Sabbath School Departments, Community Services, and 26 years as Church Treasurer. Doris and George have supported the education of young people, having helped many get through school, and in supporting work in the mission fields such as places in Africa, Mexico, the Philippines, South Korea and India. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday December 14th at the Wright Seventh-day Adventist Church, 16429 40th Ave, Coopersville, MI 49404.
