Doris Carlson

Doris J. Carlson, age 80, of Lamont, MI. passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was born June 4, 1932 in Lowell, MI. to John and Mary Wheat who preceded her in death. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband Delmar on Nov 13, 2008, sisters Evelyn Cooper and Olive Cook, brother, Jim Wheat, brother and sister-in-law Phil and Juanita Wheat, sister-in-laws Betty Anderson and Bonnie Anderson. She is survived by her children, Denise (Steve) Waters, Doreen (Israel) Moreno, Duane Carlson and Kris, Debbie (Hank) Nuiver; 4 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Alice Wheat, Marylou (Art) Botma and Ginny (Jerry) Roberts; sister-in-law Marion Wheat, brother-in-laws, Clyde Cooper, Bill Cook, Richard (Dorothy) Anderson, Loren Anderson, Bernard (Tina) Anderson and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 am at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, Rev Tommy Boutell officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Lamont. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. The family wishes to extend a thank you to Oak Crest (Beechwood) in Jenison and Spectrum Hospice for the care given to Doris.
