Donald Wohlford

Donald E. Wohlford, age 92, of Coopersville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Don was born in Coopersville, MI., to the late LeRoy and Margaret (Barnard) Wohlford. He attended Coopersville High School, served in the Army during WW II, receiving a purple heart for wounds received while in action, was a longtime member of Coopersville Bible Church and also a life member of Coopersville VFW Post 5598. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys; children Dennis Paris, Deborah Bouwkamp and Dale (Tina) Wohlford; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sister Dorothy Elkins; brother LeRoy (Kay) Wohlford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his son Mike Paris and sister Marjory Hekhuis. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 12 noon at the Coopersville Bible Church, 35 Hillcrest St, Coopersville, MI., with Rev Tim McGarvery officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday one hour prior to the service at Church.
