Donald Schippers

Donald é�a�A"Skipé�a�� Schippers, aged 84, of Coopersville, was called home to his Saviour Tuesday, June 25, 2013 with family at his side. Don was preceded in death by his wife Patsy on May 5, 2008 and his parents Leonard and Helen. He was retired from the Ottawa Co. Road Commission, Served in the US Army during Korea and was a member of the Coopersville VFW Post 5598. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Gary) Bowman, Sue (Dan) Holman and Kim (Tim) Sheets; 6 grandchildren Matthew Bowman, Jaime (Josh) LeQuire, Daniel T. (Stacy) Holman, Laura (Jesse) Janssen, Samuel Sheets and Thomas Sheets; 4 great grandchildren; sister Lillian Schippers; sisters-in-law, Ione (Don) Sheridan, Linda Johnson, brothers-in-law Ted (Marie) Johnson, Ed Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 am at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. Burial will be in the Coopersville Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
