Mr Donald Eugene Lowing, aged 74, of Coopersville passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 of accidental injuries. Don was born in Blendon Twp MI on Nov 18, 1937. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for Consumers Power retiring after 33 years of service from the Port Sheldon power plant. He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Kylie Woods; father, Willard Lowing; step-father, Darwin Smead and sister Sandy Troutwine. Don is survived by his wife of 35 years Sharon Lowing; children Mike (Marcia) Lowing, Tracy (Randy) Scott, Chris (June) Lowing, Brian (Mary) Lowing, Jeff Botsford, David (Wanda) Botsford, Kristine (Tim) Felicioni; grandchildren Ryan Woods, Brad Lowing and fiancé�© Samantha, Scott Lowing, Kyle Scott, Jesica (Sean) Goguen, Sara (Brandon) VanKuiken, Jessica (Richard) Johnson, Danny Botsford, Sharon Botsford, Heather Dausman, Heidi Dausman, Mason Felicioni, Justina Felicioni; many great grandchildren; mother, Jeannette Smead; step-mother Margaret Lowing; brothers and sisters Duane (Rita) Lowing, David Lowing, Lee Ann (Gene) Kluting, Ken (Diane) Hall, Leslie (Warren) Steinhaus, Juanita Zahrt, Patti Smead and Leonard Koons; sister-in-law Norma Bartley and many relatives and freinds. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 am at St John Lutheran Church, 9628 48th Ave, Allendale. Rev. Jim Metcalf Officiating. Burial in Allendale Twp. Cemetery. Visitation Wed 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm at the Throop Funeral Home 214 Church St, Coopersville, and Thursday one hour prior to the service at church.
