Donald Longcore

Donald Longcore, age 74, of Marne, was called home to heaven unexpectedly Friday, June 7, 2013 and reunited with his wife Betty who passed away Jan. 30, 2013. Don served in the US Navy and was retired from USF-Holland Freight Company in Grand Rapids where he worked as a mechanic. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and attending Berlin Raceway where he helped some of the drivers work on their cars. After his retirement Don enjoyed spending time with his family and shooting skeet and trap at the West Walker Sportsmané�a�a��s Club and North Ottawa Rod and Gun Club. Don is survived by his son, David (Janet) Longcore; daughter Annette Longcore; grandchildren, Doug, Dan (Shae), Chris and Joshua; 5 great grandchildren; sister Leona (Tom) Isenhart; sister-in-law Josephine Wallace and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 11 am at St Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Church, 15164 Juniper Dr, Marne, 49435. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8 pm, with a scripture service Monday evening at 6 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville.
